I made this one a while back in my Ceramics class, but I wasn't able to take pictures of it because my teacher was holding it hostage. xD

My assignment was to make a tree of some sort and I always wanted to make a holder of some kind to mount my earrings on, so I combined the two. I give you the Happy Earring Tree. It now sits at the top of my dresser. :)

and if you cant tell, I'll explain some more. I made huge ears to rest on the trees branches. the ears have a metal mesh small enough to poke my earrings through. :3

it stands about 21 in. tall.
and yes, I did a terrible job painting it. xD I was in a rush to turn it in. it doesn't look that bad when you look at it from a distance.

You add a whole other dynamic to ceramics. :) It's just so creative! Man, I wish I had your brain...haha and your imagination.

I LOVE the tongue roots. It's amazing. And I dont think you painted it badly at all! It looks beautiful!

haha, when I was carving it out, people at school said it looked similar to Tim Burton. Beetle Juice works too. 8)

that's an awesome idea. And it looks a lot smaller than 21", at least until the picture with you holding one of the 'ears'

and just think, I wouldn't have been able to make this if I wasn't in an advanced class. the Advanced classes have more freedom than the regular classes. plus, I got a new teacher this semester so she was very loose on what I could do. :3 it was great! I'm gonna take another class next semester~! woot!


oh, you notice the painting job when you really inspect it. ;P
