Plagie (play-gee; sorry, not very original), my new figurine friend, has made his way home! Thank you and Shouldbee.com for working together to create such a wonderful piece. The "thank you" doodle was just as nice, Bezzalair!
I hope that everyone who pre-ordered their figurines are just as happy as I am!
Did your figure come in? It doesn't sound like it. I showed it to my father and younger brother. My younger brother thinks it's okay (mostly because he's not into this kind of cute, creepy stuff), but my father thought it was creepy and gave me a dumbfounded look when I told him I thought it was cute.
However, I can definitely say this figurine is fairly sturdy. It can stand on a flat surface quite easily. Although the feet do not appear to be completely flat, so if you touch/tap it, it can be a bit wobbly, but it will stand still.
I would have wished for the coat to having a slightly darker shade to it (it's more gray than grayish-black), but it still looks more than nice enough.
Perhaps amazingly, my figurine fell about 30 inches from the ground (fell off from the top of my shelf), but luckily, probably with a little help from my carpeted floor, there was NO damage to it. I was certainly impressed with that.
ohmygodohmygod just got an email from shouldbee, said they're making the plague doctor now and will be shipped to me, yes ME (yay), in April/May. I'm a happycat. Thank you so much, you're awesomesauce.
They'll be made if there's enough pre-orders. If you're interested, you can pre-order it here: [link] You don't have to pay until the 25 pre-order quota is met. You will probably get charged at first but the charge should be reversed/returned within a day or so from the time of purchase.
Maybe I have to preorder two now. One for me and one for that little "ghost girl"/"delusion" that I swear I saw in my dorm's hallway yesterday while I was wearing my plague doctor costume (uh, for fun?). Fortunately, no one was there to see me dressed up, but , I'm not exactly sure what I saw.
Uh, I can explain it later to you, Bezzalair (if you want). This is supposed to be about your plague doctor figurines after all.
But yes, I will be sure to order at least one from you! Good luck and I sincerely hope you make the quota by Feb. 25th. The world needs that plush!
Okay, so I ordered one from you. Their process towards a plushie is very interesting, but I will support it if it allows you the chance to sell your plushes. Best of luck that you make it towards the rest of your quota!
I asked and the company said, "Yes, sandstone can be fragile, similar to porcelain, but similar to resin toys it is for display on shelves or desks, not to be played with like an action figure." They also said that "[my] design has nicely formed and solid pieces so when it is made it will be updated to be as strong as possible. If there were more "thin pieces" like very thing arms or legs it would be more of a concern, but that isn't a concern in this case!"
They also just told me that those who want to pay now by paypal will be charged, but if production levels aren't reached you will be reimbursed. The credit card method allows them to take cards without charging first, which is why they use it.
I asked the company and they said that right now they don't as part of the pre-order process, if it was in stock, they would. But if you email them at email@example.com they can see about handling it via paypal for you.
I have a lot of fate that a lot of your watchers are going to help you meet that quota by the deadline. It sounds easy to get 25 orders by Feb. 25th, but let's just hope for the best!
Personally, I'm waiting for the "doll" to come out (again, I have that much faith in your watchers), but now I'm tempted to buy one of the figurines too, just to ensure that you're one step closer to your goal! Still, I have to wait until I get paid first, all while I'm here contemplating ( in a war with temptation).
Aww man, I got excited. This is like PatchTogether, but I don't like that they have some kinda... thing where they get the rights to it. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the ToS, but that's a bummer. I would've tried Corky again.
Ohhhhh, I sees... I must've misread it. I got plan for the character itself, but if it's just the toy, that's fine! That's sounds good, actually.
Oh! Errr, Corky is one of my characters. In a nutshell, he's grumpy bunny. This be him. --> [link] Maybe he's not the best choice, since he's not happy enough or something. Ehhh, I'm not popular enough yet, I suppose.
Yeah! Good luck on that. It's be so neat to see those guys get made. I mean, hey, who else is gonna cure the plague? :U
